Emma Gorman

MANUAL PHYSIO, REHAB PHYSIO, OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH PHYSIO, PILATES PHYSIO
Emma Gorman graduated from Teesside University, Middlesbrough in 2007, with a BSc honours degree in Physiotherapy. She is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapist (ISCP) and CORU Registered.

Emma obtained her early experience at the Royal University Hospital, Liverpool, before returning to Ireland to join CityPhysio. She has over 10 years of experience in private practice and has completed a number of accredited, postgraduate courses including myofascial release techniques and dry needling. In 2017 she travelled to Australia to study at Curtin University, Perth, where she obtained a Diploma in Spinal Orthopaedic Manual Therapy.

Emma has a specialist interest in occupational health injuries and has extensive experience in performing ergonomic and work station assessments. She has travelled extensively with the Irish amateur boxing team and worked with a number of Gaelic and senior league football teams.

Emma is a qualified Pilates instructor and has completed courses in mat, pregnancy and post-natal Pilates. She is one of the team in CityPhysio providing in-house Pilates courses.

When not treating patients, or teaching Pilates Emma, understands the importance of looking after her own health and fitness. She can be found lifting weights in the gym at least three times per week and performs daily Pilates and mobility exercises. She enjoys reading and considers herself a real foodie, when cooking and entertaining for friends and family.
